Day 17: The Road to Chita, Camp Rocks

After leaving Camp Awesome, we hit some really bad road for a short bit. I had my first "off" coming through a muddy section.

Cory had a bit of a rough bit, when his visor fogged, and he rode for a hundred or so miles with just his glasses on...

Cory was having a bit of a problem with his Pannier (bags) bracket hitting his Knobby tires (it cleared the street tires we changed out in Khabarosk). So we drove in to one of the local towns, found the local welder, and had him fashion a crude cross brace that cleared the tire. Total Time: about 1 hour. The guy welding the brace didn't want his picture taken.

Once again, it rained on us for a lot of the day (no fun), but cleared up at the end of the day and we ended up camping at an abandoned rock quarry, that was pretty good because there were less bugs.

Today: 442 km
