We are back in Ulan-Ude from Lake Baikal.
We're going to make a push for the Border, and try and get through to Mongolia today. We have various reports about the crossing time, but most of them come in around 4 hours. It is a brand new, modern border.
We hope to get through today, and camp in Mongolia, then drive the rest of the way tomorrow to Ulannbattar. We have a contact there for a GER (tent) hotel we will try and stay at.
Petar's father is flying in from Croatia with some parts for the bikes (a lot of parts), but they won't be there till next Tuesday, so we will be spending 3 days in Ulannbattar (not a bad thing)
My only issue, is I had sent a large percentage of food ahead in Khabarosk to Barnaul, so I am down to about 15 days of food left. It will take us 8-10 days to get across Mongolia, and we will be 5 days before we leave Ulannbattar, so we are getting down to the wire.
Either way, I haven't actually been having to eat as much of my food as I thought, as I can get some stuff at the local markets. Even though everything is in Cryllic, I've found some Pineapple juice and Orange juice, and of course, fruit. I eat a lot of fruit.
Also, the Lays potato chips are the same here. :)
Today: 320 km, Total: 5985 km
