You need to be wary in the capital, as most of the people here are very nice and honest, but also VERY poor, so there is an element (as in any big city) that sees us as big walking bags of money. We weren't in town more than 20 minutes, when we stopped to ask for directions, were quickly surrounded by about 5 youths, and before you knew it, one of them was trying to dig into Cory's bag strapped to his bike. Cory smacked him, and we drove away.

We hired a driver and car for the day, since it is way easier to get around than driving the bikes aimlessly in city of 1,000,000 people, all of whom don't obey traffic signals or lanes.
Petar's father Ratko has joined us this morning from Croatia, and will be following us across Mongolia in a rented Russian Jeep.
The weather for Mongolia for the next month calls for rain, and we have been told that driving across the route we want to take is very difficult/impossible in the rain. So...we are going anyway :)
Having the Jeep and Ratko along, will really help us, as we can offload some of the weight on the bikes to the Jeep, and carry more water and supplies than we would have otherwise.
We spent some time yesterday at one of the big markets, looking for some tools and supplies to help Cory fix his bike.
