Camp Awesome III

We left Cabo San Lucas with the intention of riding to La Paz, then taking the ferry last night to Mazatlan.

Instead we took the coastal road, which is an unpaved sandy, potholed "road" that reminded us of Mongolia.  We made it about 40 km up the coast, when we turned a corner and came upon paradise.

That was it for the riding for the day.

We dove into the crystal clear ocean, played in the waves, then set up camp for night.  We met Ramona, a local girl from California who lives here now, who was out surfing for the day.   She was nice and left us some awesome steaks and vegetables which we cooked over the fire for supper.

The waves crashing all night kept most of us from sleeping deeply, but it was peaceful.  We had a midnight visitor dog who scared the crap out of Cory when he stuck his nose into his tent at 3:00 am.  He also ate the hamburger buns we had left out, and stole Neal's frying pan.  We found it about 150 yards away beside the road the next morning.

Troy and I got up early and did Yoga on the beach.  We kept having to move our mats further and further inland, as the tide kept washing up to us.
