Barranquilla...

After 4 weeks riding together, we sadly said goodbye to Darren.

He has continued his journey eastwards towards Venezuela, and then onwards to Trinidad and Tobago.

It was an amazing coincidence meeting up with him, and we were honoured to be able to ride with him for the last month.   Troy and I are kind of sad today.  :(

Hung out at the pool yesterday, went shopping, had dinner.

Bought myself a South American cell phone, and a SIM card for Troy.   Total price:  less than $40.00.

Not much else to report.

Troy is awaiting a package (New Helmet Cam) to be shipped here, so when we get it, we will be moving on to Cartagena.

We're still here in Barranquilla... going to the beach today with Toni and Yury.

When we got back from the beach, Troy realized he had left his shoes and cell phone in the Taxi.  A few quick calls to the dispatch of the taxi company and the guy who dropped us off was back at the hotel.  But no shoes or cell phone.  He was adamant that they were not in his Taxi.  Troy was pretty sure they were.  They were an older pair of shoes (but the only ones he has) and an older cell phone, so no big loss... but we were pretty sure they were in the cab.
