Drove in to Oakland, picked up new a new Camera head for Corys bike-cam. As we were sitting outside the Fed Ex building a guy came up and asked about the bike. Turns out he had met Ted Simon on the road in 1974.
For people who don't know, Ted Simon is one of the Fathers of motorcycle adventuring and is one of our inspirations for this trip. Small world.
Another nice fellow came up, saw our license plates, and asked where we were from. He was also from Calgary, so we had a nice chat with him as well.
