Yoga.

After I got back from riding around the world, I spent the next 8 months doing yoga to try and fix some long time nagging issues with my hips and back.

After a few months, it became such a big part of my life, that I was doing it twice a day on some days, and 6 to 7 days a week most of the time.

Through Yoga, I've met some of the most incredible new friends at the studio, who have become very dear to me.

For about 3 weeks prior to departure on this expedition, my teachers were gracious enough to allow me to record our classes on my iPod.    Now, when I want to practice, I can put on my earphones and listen to the class.  It's great for doing Yoga anywhere, as I feel like I am back in Calgary, in the studio, surrounded by my fellow Yogis and Yoginis.

Since starting the trip, I have been able to convince Troy, the Aussie, to practice with me a couple times, and it has been great.

This morning as I went out to get Troy, Ryan our newest member of the team, indicated he also wanted to practice.  So the three of us laid out our mats (Troy and Ryan had bought new mats at WalMart the day before), and as we got started, Neal came over and laid out his towel as well.

Then, just as we were about to begin, Suzanna, our German friend who is riding around for 1 year with her husband, came over and joined the class as well.

So now we had 5 people.

I put my iPod on, connected it to some speakers, and for the next 90 minutes, Amy Thiessen guided us through a beautiful Yoga practice.

Namaste.  :)
